Rashad is a site coordinator for the African-American Male Initiative program.

Before working for CIS, Rashad was the head basketball coach for Jamestown Middle for 4 years. Rashad currently serves as the lead pastor of World Changing Christian Center in High Point, NC. Rashad’s passion is adding value to others and spending time with his family.

“It is my passion to help mentor young men. Having previously mentored other young men on an individual basis, I found that CIS’ vision aligns with my life values. I wanted to add value to the organization so that is why I accepted the role. Not having a mentor growing up, I understand the value of what it would have been like to have a mentor in my life as a young adult. I see how having a mentor could have made a greater impact. Statistics show that having a mentor can increase an individual’s chance of success and can help young adults overcome significant challenges.”

We welcome Rashad and his passion and skills.

About Us
At Communities In Schools (CIS), we believe that every student, regardless of race, gender, ability, zip code, or socioeconomic background has what they need to realize their full potential in school and beyond. We walk by their side, in their communities, to challenge the systems and barriers that stand between them and their success in life.
